Private Pay Options
If you don’t have insurance or your insurance doesn’t cover our services, you can choose a private pay option that allows you to pay out-of-pocket for therapy sessions. You don’t need insurance or a doctor’s referral as a private pay patient.
After our initial evaluation, we provide 30-minute, 45-minute and 1-hour therapy sessions. We can see your child as little as once a week for 30 minutes or as frequently as five times a week for five hours total, depending on our therapists’ availability.
Frequently Asked Insurance and Financial Questions
Find answers to some of our most frequently asked insurance and financial questions below.
Does Orlando Children’s Therapy Accept Insurance?
Orlando Children’s Therapy currently accepts all the insurance providers listed above. We also accept private pay patients, with no insurance or doctor’s referral required.
Will My Insurance Cover Comprehensive Therapy for My Child?
Insurance coverage varies greatly depending on your specific plan. We recommend calling your insurance provider in advance to determine which services they cover and what your out-of-pocket expenses may be.
When you contact your insurance company, be sure to have the following information readily available:
- Identifying information, including your insurance ID and Group numbers
- Information about Orlando Children’s Therapy— we are a private clinic, not a hospital
You may want to ask them questions like:
- Under what circumstances is the therapy covered?
- Are there any coverage restrictions, such as age or number of visits?
Do I Need a Referral to Receive Therapy Services?
If you are using insurance to pay for your child’s therapy services, you will need to provide a doctor’s referral or prescription for us to perform an evaluation and treatment. If you are a private pay patient, you do not need a doctor’s referral.
How Many Sessions Will My Insurance Authorize Per Week?
Each insurance provider has its own authorization procedures, including what paperwork they require and how many sessions they’ll authorize. They may allow a preset number of visits, or they may review each patient individually to determine how much therapy is medically necessary.
Typically, insurance authorizations range from one 30-minute session per week to three one-hour sessions per week. In some cases, insurance may not authorize any therapy services, even if the child presents with a disorder or delay.
My Insurance Won’t Cover Comprehensive Therapy Services. What Are My Options?
If your insurance doesn’t cover our therapy services, you can pay out-of-pocket for your child’s session with our private pay options. As a private pay patient, you won’t need insurance or a doctor’s referral.
How Do Private Pay Services Work?
If you’re interested in our private pay services, we’ll start with an evaluation to determine your child’s needs. From there, we can offer 30-minute, 45-minute or 1-hour therapy sessions. We can see your child as much as five times a week for five hours total, or as little as once a week for 30 minutes.
Please call us at 407-280-3776 to discuss our fixed rates.

If you are paying with insurance, we will collect your copayment at the time of service. Should you have an outstanding balance after your insurance reviews the claim, we will send you an invoice for the remainder.
