Marieliz is a bilingual Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed in the state of Florida and certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
She was awarded an Associate’s Degree in 2008 from the University of Puerto Rico’s Occupational Therapy Assistant program and worked with the pediatric population for three years before relocating to Florida with her husband in 2012. After taking some time off to start a family, Marieliz secured her Florida license and board certification and resumed working with the pediatric population in 2015.
Marieliz is a compassionate therapist who loves to serve others and cannot imagine herself in another career. She is fascinated by sensory issues and often seeks out the latest evidenced-based treatment techniques and strategies for sensory integration. She would love to obtain certification in arts and sensory integration and is considering pursuing her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in the future.
On a personal level, Marieliz enjoys spending time outdoors, picnics at the beach, reading, music, singing at her church, and quality time with her husband and children.
